PhD Positions 2026

I am recruiting PhD students for 2026 in the topics of reinforcement learning theory, bandits or online learning. I can supervise students through the following routes:

• Imperial Mathematics Research PhD program: Details of available funding are available here. To have the best chance at securing funding, you are encouraged to apply early, ideally around October-November.

• EPSRC CDT in Statistics and Machine Learning (StatML): Please check the StatML website for details of the application process and deadline (usually in January). I am also available to supervise second mini-projects for StatML students already on the program.

Generally, prior knowledge of reinforcement learning theory/bandits/online learning is not required to work with me, but I look for a strong mathematical background and enthusiasm.
