Dormitories

IMPERIAL COLLEGE DORMITORIES 

These are comfortable en-suite bed and breakfast type accommodations that belong to Imperial College. They are situated in 3 minutes walking distance from the conference venue. 

Special reduced prices for congress participants are:

Single room: £60 per night     Single rooms are already fully booked.
Twin room (room with two beds): £80 per night      Twin rooms are already fully booked.

It is possible for 2 people to share a twin room (in which case the price is £40 per person per night). Prices include breakfast.

Payment for these rooms can be done together with the registration fee. Unfortunately, it is not possible to guarantee rooms without payment. It is also not possible to pay on arrival.

You should contact the organisers by email to check the availability and to reserve. The deadline for reservation and payment for these rooms is 1 May 2009 if rooms are still available. However, participants are strongly advised to reserve and pay for the rooms as soon as possible because there are many activities at Imperial College in July and hence the availability of rooms is limited.


COLLEGE HALL, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON

These are dormitories situated in the centre of London and single rooms (en-suite and non en-suite) are available including breakfast or breakfast and dinner. Imperial College can be reached within 30 minutes by underground. 

Special prices for congress participants are:

Single room (shared bathroom and toilet): £35 per night      Single rooms are already fully booked.
Single room (en-suite): £45 per night     Single rooms are already fully booked.

Prices include breakfast. Rooms are also available including dinner, then the prices are increased by £5. 

Payment for these rooms can be done together with the registration fee. Unfortunately, it is not possible to guarantee rooms without payment. It is also not possible to pay on arrival.

Participants are expected to book hotels by themselves and we recommend to do this soon.

There are also many reasonable bed and breakfast places, e.g. near King’s Cross.

Note, that most cheaper hotels in the area are small hotels; we can not guarantee for availability of rooms. However, there are plenty of hotels and Imperial College can be reached by underground within 45 min from most places of the centre of London (underground zone 1).
