CoSyDy
CoSyDy is short for "Complex System Dynamics" and aims to provide
regular opportunities for meetings of mathematicians working in
complexity and researchers "in the field". The interpretation of
"complexity" is very broad and inclusive, ranging from the less formal, applied end of
the spectrum on the one hand to the more technical one on the
other.
Talks are aimed at established researchers as well as PhD
students, who are strongly encouraged to present their own research. Every
meeting normally has one or two review talks with a wider scope.
CoSyDy is funded by the LMS (Scheme 3) and was originally started by
M Mobilia (Leeds)
and
R
MacKay (Warwick). It is currently chaired by G Pruessner and
coordinated by
C Budd (Bath, also grant supporter),
R Harris (QMUL) and
R
MacKay (Warwick, also grant supporter).
The LMS provides funding for travel expenses of participants from the
CoSyDy nodes (Bath, Leeds, Manchester, Warwick, QMUL and Imperial). To
claim, please fill in the E1 form
and send it to me (address below) together with the relevant receipts.
