When?

10am to 5:30pm, Monday 26th to Friday 30th September 2002.

Where?

The lectures will take place in room 340 (on the 3rd floor) of the Huxley Building, Imperial College London. The Huxley Building is here (google maps). The easiest way to get to the Huxley Building is to enter it directly from Queen's Gate -- it's 180 Queen's Gate.

Timetable

A generic day looks like this:

1000-1100: Kevin waffling on
1100-1130: tea/coffee/biscuits
1130-1230: Kevin waffling on again
1230-1330: Lunch (get coupons from Kevin)
1330-1530: Work on projects (in room 340, or room 410, or the MLC)
1530-1600: tea/coffee/biscuits
1600-1700: Talk by guest speaker
1700-1730: questions, informal chat.

On Wednesday 28th it's just a half day (nothing planned in the afternoon, so go and explore the museums or do something else Londony, or work on your projects anyway)

On Friday 30th I propose the following: 1000-1100: Kevin waffling on
1100-1130: tea/coffee/biscuits
1130-1230: Talk by Alena Gusakov on strongly regular graphs
1230-1330: Lunch
1330-1430: Work on projects (in room 340, or room 410, or the MLC)
1430-1530: project presentations
1530-1600: tea/coffee/biscuits
1600-1700: project presentations

In the project presentations, one or two members of each group just stand up and spend 10 to 15 (max) minutes talking about what they did, what they learnt, what they want to do next etc.

Order of project presentations: Probability theory, Ostrowski's theorem, Bernouilli numbers, Shannon capacity, (coffee), set family combinatorics, combinatorial number theory, graphs and matroids, Diophantine equations.

Workshop dinner

The dinner will take place on Thursday at 6pm at a nearby restaurant called Ognisko (55 Exhibition Road).
